Customer Service Representative

Overview
The Customer Center Representative serves a key role in contact center facilitating the flow of information between customers, utilities and clients. Documents and responds to customer requests and responds/escalates according to established standard operating procedures. Reviews requests, ensures all necessary information is included and routes requests to the appropriate department.
Responsibilities
Receives incoming calls and provides initial screening of customer requests and questions.
Evaluates needs and directs to and/or handles appropriate programs and services.
Ability to provide quality, efficient service on both inbound and outbound calls supporting the needs of diverse customers and clients.
Performs telephone quality control questionnaire surveys.
Conducts outbound calling as needed for a variety of programs/projects.
Accurately enters customer data into tracking software systems.
Cross-train into various programs.
Processes bulk mail as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
0 to 2 years Customer Service experience involving extensive telephone experience
Accurate computer keyboard and data entry skills. Basic MS Word and Excel. Excellent listening, telephone, verbal and written communication skills are essential. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail required. Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks with ever changing priorities.
Bilingual language skills a plus (Spanish/English).
Position requires flexibility in hours, split shifts may be required. Schedule is determined by Contact Center Management based on customer/program requirement

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
