A financial firm is looking for an Application/Production Support Specialist with AWS to join their team in Iselin, NJ.
Compensation:
$150k Within this role, the specialist will provide 2nd line production operational shift support and perform releases for company application services, many of which are business critical.
They will also provide remote and on-site support as part of the on-call support rota and assist where required with the delivery of minor/major projects and programmes.
Qualifications:
RequiredA Bachelor's Degree or equivalentPrior IT operational support experience across business critical Production infrastructure, applications and database servicesStrong release experience on Linux Red Hat Servers in a Production enterprise environmentExperience of providing production support activities for business critical Linux/applicationsExperience of enterprise monitoring systemsExperience of managing and utilizing system management toolsExperience in working with ticket system ServiceNow and an understanding of priorities and SLAsExperience of providing cross training on technologies and operational processes to colleaguesAbility to collaborate effectively with other operational support teams in order to support the Production serviceExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsStrong documentation and technical writing skillsAbility to plan and implement technical changes, that follow company change rules, without unexpected disruption to the service and with minimal oversightKnowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL) framework or understanding of Incident, Problem, Change Experience of leading production technical operational support teamsPreferred Experience of supporting AIX systemsKnowledge of Banking Systems and related industry standard practicesIndustry standard IT certification Linux (Redhat)/VMware/Symantec VCSITIL certification About the Company:
