Summary:
Providing quality housekeeping services to all guest rooms and public areas as specified by Management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Directing of all employees in the Housekeeping Department including motivation, communication, education and guidance.
Scheduling of staff to reflect business as specified within the guidelines provided by Management.
Ordering and receiving of supplies by Management policy to ensure standards are met.
Controlling and monitoring expenses including supplies, payroll and losses.
Constantly and consistently analyzes department to ensure quality and production are at their peak at all times.
Follows up all maintenance repairs in guest rooms.
Ensures safety precautions are utilized in the use of chemicals, equipment and personal injuries.
Assists Management in enforcement of company policy, procedure and rules.
Preparation of monthly in inventory reports of supplies as specified by Management.
Reports daily payroll accurately and in a timely fashion.
Attends Management meetings and seminars as requested.
Other duties as assigned by Management.
PREREQUISITES:
Education:
High school education or equivalent.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary languages used in the workplace.
Experience:
Previous professional housekeeping experience for a minimum of two years.
Physical:
Requires some of the maids and porter tasks, bending, stooping, climbing, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, grasping, carrying, repetitive motions, visual acuity, hearing, writing and good verbal skills NOTICE:
Friendwell Managed Hotels function twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
As a part of the hospitality industry a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times.
